Iain Broadbent has ran his own business for the last six years and has worked as an Architectural Woodcarver for over twelve, having previously worked at the renowned Dick Reid Carving Workshop where he served his apprenticeship. Iain, previous to joining Dick Reid, worked for many years as an artist in London and is a graduate of The Royal College of Art.
As an Architectural Woodcarver and Restorer, Iain works closely with architects, joiners and designers in making and restoring carved and shaped furniture and architectural features, ranging from mouldings to coats of arms.
Iain's creative background and technical skills have also been put to use for more unusual projects. He was recently commissioned to make a reproduction of a 1940's rocking horse for an exhibition at The Tate Modern in London. His work has also been seen on a History Channel documentary for which he was asked to advise on, and make wooden handles for ancient Egyptian weapons.
Iain regularly takes on one off design projects and private commissions.
